Kathryn’s Place was brought to life by two dedicated founders, Quint Thompson and Alexis Contreras, united by a shared mission to inspire healthier living, deeper connection, and meaningful community experiences.

For Quint, this journey is rooted in love and legacy. Kathryn was his mother—an extraordinary woman whose strength, warmth, and resilience shaped who he is. After losing her to breast cancer in 2013, Quint carried her spirit forward with a determination to honor her in a way that would positively impact others. Kathryn inspired him to live with compassion, to uplift those around him, and to create something purposeful for the community she cherished.

Alexis, a natural creator and community-driven visionary, joined Quint in bringing that dream to life. With a passion for wellness, hospitality, and building experiences that bring people together, Alexis helped shape Kathryn’s Place into more than a café—into a welcoming hub where people feel supported, inspired, and excited to make healthier choices.

In 2022, their shared vision became a reality. Kathryn’s Place opened its doors to serve as a vibrant alternative to the culture of unhealthy habits and to offer a space where wellness feels approachable, creative, and full of joy.

From crafting fresh juices, coffees, and seasonal menus to hosting events and forming partnerships with local businesses, Quint and Alexis have built Kathryn’s Place as a reflection of their shared values: authenticity, wellness, innovation, and heart.

Their story is one of love, resilience, and continuous growth. As Kathryn’s Place expands into new communities, Quint and Alexis remain committed to honoring Kathryn’s legacy and creating experiences that uplift every person who walks through their doors.
